Subwoofer BOX Question!?!?!

hello, my friends and i are puttin in my system this week and i had one of my friends build a box that can hold 2 12" subwoofers in it. My question is he didn't put terminal caps for the wires on the other side he just said to drill 2 holes and run it like that. My other friend said i should get terminal caps to hook the wires up to and run it w/ terminal caps. I was wondering if terminal caps made a difference or if i can just run it without them?? Thanx and please respond as quickly as possible!!!

Terminals make it look cleaner and it just makes the box look better.

As long as you seal around the wire with some silicone or something, it will work just as well

Yeah, you want it completley sealed off.
