Hey everyone, I recently got a car and wanted to hook up subs. It came with a aftermarket deck (Kenwood KDC-X995 to be exact). I had already got a Kenwood amp (KAC-7204) and i was given subs from my brother. After i had wired up the amp and got everything set up, the output seemed distorted. I have 1 12" Kenwood sub (not sure the model) and i mounted my amp to the box. I was thinking this could possibly be the reason for the bad sound but im not sure. The sub kind of also sounds over powered but it had worked perfectly fine in my other car. The ground wire that i hooked up is "ok at best" so im not sure if that could be a problem too.
