Subwoofer amps stolen

So they broke my back window but they didn't open the door I am assuming cause they knew that would set off factory alarm, They reached over seat and took my subs, 2 12 kickers in box with 2 amps bolted to side, 1 was ken wood 1000watt for subs, the other I had just got a few months ago, Here's my problem, They cut the wires, I went out and got new subs1 12 hertz brand with a 5 channel 1500 watt hertz amp, and also a viper 2 way alarm,

Now I am at a standstill , I know ts a lot to ask but any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated, The wiring is all still there but its been cut do I have to rewire,

I have a pioneer with clarion eq installed that they didn't touch, Now I just need to know where to start , Thanks in advance

1. don't screw your amps on your box. Hide them under your seats for example.

2. don't bump in your neighborhood. It's sucks but it is vital.

3. Hide a secondary battery for your alarm and since it's a viper; I recommend adding the smartphone module.

A lot can be done. Good luck.

Heres a tip, get a crazy enough sub setup where each sub weighs 100lbs and bolt the enclosure down onto the vehicle and use irregular shaped screws. Do the same thing with the amp. They aint carrying anything off. Also get carbon fiber duscap options just in case they get p1ssed off and try to poke a hole in your sub which they will fail horribly as your sub laughs at how feeble these lowly scum are to its awesomeness.

Now thats out of the way, retrace which wire is which. Open up your hood and see which wire is connected to the battery positive and that should go to your amp positive terminal. The other power wire of similar size should be the ground which is amp negative. A very tiny single wire should be your remote turn on wire. Look up what RCAs are and if you see them, then just plug them into the input section of your amp. If the rcas are cut, you will need to youtube how to open up your head unit and buy a new pair of rcas and run it through your car again.

I have done this. After being a victim of theft, I started all over and did the same with my other vehicle. Came up with a way to utilize the tie-down areas/threaded holes in my Tahoe and using a few dollar bolts from the hardware store. It's not going anywhere. I also got allenhead bolts to hold the subs in place. Typical drywall screws to fasten subs in place to today's subs on the market is so old school....esp when trying to drywall screw a 100 lb sub in it's place. Not gonna happen! Anyway, yeah it costs money but know what, I'm gonna make it hard for them to take. Even my amps have the allenhead bolts. More than likely give up and leave.

OP, I would invest in a really good alarm 1st before buying anything audio related. And one with glass sensor.

As for the wires, I would start all over. Disconnect from battery 1st then reroute again/start over. And using wire loom in the engine compartment. Hide wiring/RCA's under carpet.

BummerMan! :-( Thieves should be shot! :-(

What you GET to do now is basically start over and do it all right/better than you did before. And HIDE that stuff! Don't advertize. Your car audio system is there for YOUR enjoyment, no one else's. That's why I love that I can stash my two amps and DSP in my Grand Caravan's Stow-n-Go seating storage compartments. Out of sight, out of mind! Don't want to be a prisoner of my own technology! Same reason I do not own a cell phone!!

I found the only 100% effective way to prevent being stolen from: don't own anything! Seriously, around the year 2000 I had two Suburbans stolen and I was thinking about moving to NYC so I sold ALL my vehicles and stuck exclusively to public transportation for a while. They can't steal what I don't own!! HA!

That is an example of the very poor state of our society. It makes me mad just hearing about your pain!
Hands-down

Yep! I thought of a good anti-theft system for my car which would not destroy my car though, but would immediately flood my car with toxic gas such as HCN. Then all I have to do is get the thief's body out of my car!! Problem being of course false alarms!! ;-)

Im going to be totally honest. You guys just gave me more help than I expected, Sound odd? No I been sitting here sad but more so pissed off, to a point I was just like screw it, But you guys actually made me smile and laugh, It ***** but it ****** way more that my daughter came in saying um mom your window is broke and speakers are gone, She just started college I was supposed to give her the car this week, (she dont know that) but You live you learn, Anyone have ideas on how to hide amps in 03 ford escape? I had the trunk cover curtain thing pulled and my windows are tinted, I do not bump the music near my living area, I think it was someone who may have seen me loading stuff in and out of the trunk a few days before,, I wished I could put electrical wire like you do a fence , if rca are cut I need new head unit Right?

You can extend all speaker/power wires if needed. RCAs probably need to be re-run.

Invest in some security head screws. I've got hex head security screws (the kind that have the pin in the middle) for all my machine screws, holding in my amps with t-nuts, and torx head security screws for all wood screws used to hold everything else in (not used to build the box, though).

Don't listen to the idea of shoving equipment in an unventilated compartment. Might as well let that stuff be stolen if he's just going to cook the amps to death anyway.

This is one reason I decided my current rebuild is going to be a 4th order. Good luck getting to the sub, and the box has to be built into my trunk. Not going to get stolen easily.

Good luck with your rebuild, and ask if you have other questions.

This is why I'm thinking very seriously of getting a 12V powered ventilation fan and mounting it strategically to provide good airflow around my amps in one of the Stow-n-Go seat storage compartments in my 2006 Grand Caravan, Baby II.

Nobody cares, John, and nobody here wants any form of discussion with you.
