i was wondering can 18'' subs keep up with songs with fast notes and bass and be accurate like 15's and 12's? whats the best size sub for rap?

no they cant. they wont be able to keep up with really fast bass.

for rap though they should be alright, might want to consider 15"s though just so they will sound a little better.

Eh, thats why you should mix them. the 18 will be perfect for rap and stuff, and the 10's are perfect for rock and drum hits and trance and stuff. and together they make the perfect balance. i suggest trying it out.

if you drive that box Chevy just get the 18'' in a ported box it fits

transient response of a woofer is not a function of the moving mass. In actuality, it is based upon the inductance of the driver. And the greater the inductance, the slower the driver - the lower the transient response.
