I've been reading some specs of

Amps, and found that term.

What is the Subsonic Filter?

Is an amp better if it has one?

Which is the best Subsonic Filter, How do you know?

this is just a general response, someone with more technical experience will be better able to explain....

in layman terms a subsonic filter takes out unheard freq,ie 20hz, that causes your subs and amp work like hell without getting anything done. with a preamp filter your amp becomes a little more efficient as do your subs. it will also help your subs last a little longer, because they aren't working as hard. amp as well.

as far as the best i don't know. i have a audiocontrol 2xs and i like it plenty. when my front componets and amp get put in a 6xs is going in. if all your going to run with a amp is your subs a 2xs will work fine. expect to pay apx $130 retail for one. oh yea, the pfm is progammable, so that you can cut off different freqs to tune with your box or set-up.
