Subs under back seats?

I have a 99 mountaineer and i was wondering if anyone has put subs under the back seats. I was going to get some ascendant audio 8's and put them under there the mounting depth is 5 1/8 for the subs. http://www.ascendantaudio.com/assassin8specs.html that is the link to the specs of the sub i was thinking of maybe getting three and putting them in there. I dont know if anyone has had any experience or not and if it worked but let me know if you can help. thanks
