Cascade Omega 15"s will work in 3.5 cubes a piece and will take 3k+ no problem IME

ive had omegas, and they can take around 3k but not that long. i switched to hw's and i could play for as long as i want loud and would never get hot or stinky. give steve a call at rd he can build u a monster

I've got the Omegas warm off of my SAZ-3000D after about 30 minutes but I've never smelled coil or glue and mine is brand new. How much do the HWs run?

i loved my omegas im actually running them on amp at 2ohms now so they're getting like 2k a piece. they love the loves, bu the hw's loudness hurts. the reason my omegas got smelly is because i have a pretty big enclosure, and i was running my amp at .5, which is giving them about 3500 a piece. i got the hw's on team pricing i cant say lol

Depends on what options and stuff you want. they usually cost 500+ for the regular version.

I have a bnib D2 if ur interested...SQL version, 4-5k daily, 54 mm coil, triple spiders ect......

I play a lot of songs with constant bass notes, so they might as well be tones. Juice Box, What You Gonna Do, etc. I remember playing songs like that on a BTL with a Crunch GP3000D. Smelled after about a minute.

yea what about the btl on 10k watts in around 16 cubes net 15" series of course 4 of them haha,

No sub will take 4,000+ TRUE rms for any length of time on bass heavy music.

For a daily music application, that much power per sub makes no sense at all. All it does is just add more heat. For daily/music, its all about cone area.

I guess it depends on your definition of daily. When I demo my car, I will play it full tilt for a whole song or two... So when I had my 12v batteries in, that means doors wide open playing 157dbs for 5-10 minutes straight. No sub will take 4,000rms for the way I want to play it. Just wont happen. If you play it loud for 30 seconds at a time, you are set. If you want loud RELIABLE bass daily, go more subs with less power each.
