Subs Popping

ok i hooked up 2 PB 2XL 15'S ON A US XT4000D with a cheap boss head unit. They sound fine when the volume is down but now when i turn it up the subs start popping and the protection kicks on. what the hell could be the problem?

Have you checked your Bass boost and other bass options on your deck.

Those things fail. ^^^

Your bass boost isn`t a volume control.
