subs not working

Your amp is probibly clipping. If the amp is not stable at the ohm rating you are pushing it. It will thermal and refuse to work. Wire them back to series and you shouldn't have any problems. Hopefully you didn't fry the amp in the process. If you till want to try them in parrallel then turn the gain on the amp all the way down before you turn on the car and this can prevent overheating.

You may have your speakers out of phase TOO. If you did this you will get a real muffeled bass sound out of the speakers. Like Berry said if you are asking the amp to push an Ohm load it is not rated at you are only asking for problems. Give us the details on the size type and how many VC (voice coils) you have and we can give you the best way to wire them. Tell us what kind of amp you have and what it is rated at.

You can't wire those subs to make max use of the amp's power. Your only real choice is to wire each sub in series (4 ohms) and wire them to separate channels. If you wire them for 1 ohm stereo or 2 ohms bridged, you'll overload the amp.

i am having a problem similar to this, i have 3 kicker cvrs and the hifonics 1500d amp. the subs are 2ohms dvc's. i have them wired in series just the the rockford image says to and i am getting no sound from the subs. the amp turns on and the cap turns on but no sound. any one know what could be the problem??
