The tinsel goes from the speaker lead into the spider of the sub

So how would i go about stopping tinsel slap? And wut excatly is tinsel slap and what causes it. My commin sense would tell me its the tinsel slapping something but who noes

Only way to fix...

Bottoming out=turn it down

Tinsel slap= find a small felt pad and glue it to the back of the cone where the tinsel is.

Coil rub=turn it down or get it reconed.

Yes i saw that. I just looked at the tinsel and everything looks fine to me. No breaks in it nothing coming up nothing. Also if this matters when i push in the sub with hand on the corners i hear the sound when i push it in from the middle no sound. I tried looking in the sub to see wut rubs but i dont see anything. Its preety bent up.

Also im going to try to explain this to. When the cone goes up and down it pushes something down near the magnet the part under the yellow part. The thing it pushes down has some gunk stuff on and it seems like when it goes past the gunk it rubs and it makes the noise. I figured this out by when i push down the cone i looked into that place where it is and i seen it and it made the noise when ever it got past that. Almost like that gunk stuff is acting like a lubricant. That might be it i dont know it sucks though.

Way to find a mis alignment of the coils.....Way to fix it?

If its the coil, you need a recone...
