Subs make more noise than bass

So I have only had my system in a few weeks, just playing it daily. My system is in my sig. I noticed a few days ago my subs seems like its just making noise/rattle rather than bass. It seems like it only does it on the mids. I havent even take the sub out of the box and put a dmm on it. Im pretty sure it not really messed up, this sub can take lots more power. It still is pretty loud but seems like its not what it was. I know you get used to it and it seems quiter but this isnt the case. I'll mess with it tomorrow when I get some replies.

also, my gain and bass boost are at or a little less than half way.

Nah i bought the sub used and I know the guy didnt mess it up. It was great for the first couple weeks and now its not as loud and makes more "noise" than bass
