a factory blow-through? Do you mean you just took off the back wall completely and still put the sub box in the back?

Okay, heres my plan: I want to get 2 DD 2512's in a ported box in the bed of my truck. I think I will just take the back wall either completely off or just closed...I'm not sure... Will it be loud enough? and will I have to get an alternator with an amp pushing 1600wrms at 1 ohm or will just like an extra battery or something be enough?

yeah his 18's were **** loud i didn't see if he had a blow through or not i was to disoriented from the bass to notice lol. You shouldn't need anything except your average under the hood batt to keep up with a 1600 watt amp assuming it pulls the standard amount of amps and your stock alt. can ahndle it which i assume it can. I do know however that his subs where up near the cabin of the truck not way in the back of the bed.

I was planning on putting them close to the back seat facing the back seat. Is that how he had it?

How would I build the box? Put the subs beside each other with one large port on the end? Or what?

Vette, I just got back from out of town, and saw you pm, I answered it, and I will get you some pics, to show you what I mean. You can do 15's or 18's in the space, but you have to make sure you flush out the box, so there isnt gaps around the box back into the bed, Also you amps will fit right under the back seat, and it will still be able to lay it down if you want to.

Yeah...I've seen an avalanche with a 3512 with a vinyl covering and it looked nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but I like having the option of folding down the whole back wall... Its probably the best way to go though.
As for the money, I don't really have a set price, but I think for the sub, amp, and installation would be around $1500....hopefully less haha...

I just got an avalanche and I'm not sure what I want to put in it yet. My top 3 sub choices are DD, JL, and Kicker. I would like to keep the bose speakers and stock head unit for now, or would that just be too complicated and not worth it? Also, would it still sound as nice if I put the box (2 12's or 15's or something...) in the back or do I need them in the cab? It currently holds 1 18" RE MT / TCSounds PA5100 subwoofer. It really hits hard and I love it.

I am selling the box and sub as a package for $699 or best offer.

Well built box(the only thing this audio shop did right), plexiglass towards the bed area.

Box is wrapped in white suede and would be included with the price. Also comes with a white sueded beauty board for the interior cabin side.

I dont listen to rap that much, but when I do it does make a difference.

I listen to everything usually and this sub makes everything sound good Ill tell you that.
