hey all,

i installed a kenwood xxx-4022 (xxx means i forgot the three letters that start the brand, i think its KDC) and after i was all done i noticed that my subs didnt work with my cd player, but my subs work fine when listening to the radio. did i miss a connection or is this going to be a settings problem? any help on this would be great cause im at a loss!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

sound's like you have ur ant turn on wire hooked up to the amp.. you need to make sure the blue w/white wire hooked up. not the solid blue wire..

that makes sense but i noticed on the wire harness that there was only a blue/white wire so i know thats the one its hooked up to. is there a different wire/color that it needs to go to?

yeah man your hooking your amp up to the power antenna turn on/off line. so you are hooked into the blue/white wire right now? look in the manual and see if there is a remote turn on or system turn on or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Unless your car has oem amplifiers and you are using oem speakers, the remote wire doesn't need to be hooked up to the car harness. You can simply connect the amp directly to the remote out of the HU.

awesome... i will try that and let you know how it goes.

one more noob question... does the blue/white wire on the harness need to be connected to anything for the antenna power? i dont have a power antenna if that makes a difference.

Not unless you have power antenna or a signal booster. If your radio works without it connected, don't worry.
