Subs don't have a tight "punch"

I'm powering 2x12 Kicker cvr's ported with a kicker sx600.2.

These subs are PLENTY loud for what I need, but the just dont have that tight punch that I've heard in other systems. Couple of my friends have some 10's, and they're just a lot punchier. I know the 12's probably shouldn't be as tight as the 10's, but I feel like theres some things I could do to make them a lot tighter.

What settings should I look at on my amp to make them a bit punchier? I know what a lot of the settings mean, but there's a whole lot that I don't mess with because I simply have no idea what they mean.

These guys are messing with you. Cone diameter plays a much smaller role in frequency response than does the enclosure size/type/alignment.

Also its worth noting that when most people refer to the 'punchy' bass, they are unknowingly talking about midbass, not subbass. Most likely its your front stage that needs improvement, not your sub setup.

stupid noob doesn't know what he is talking about. You need to swap those twelves out for something' smaller. Turn bass boost and gain all the way up for maximum punch
