Subs cutting out from cold?

Lately it has been getting a lot colder than usual (-11 before the windchill today) and each time this has happened my subs start cutting out at about 23 out of 35. They work fine after warming up for a little while but can the cold cause subs to cut out or do i most likely have another problem? When the weather is nice i have no problems. The voltage also never drops.

Setup:

Alpine mrp m2000 amp

2 American bass xfl15s

250 amp alternator

Optima yellow top battery

5 farad cap

Big 3

All power/ground is done with 0 gauge wire

cold is hard on electronics. hard on amps especially. hard on rca connections, etc. when it gets cold, things shrink. as connections shrink they lose contact.

i've seen many systems have issues in severe cold.

i dont recommend bumpin' hard when its so cold. thats when things start to break. when its that cold metal and plastic become brittle, put them in motion and stuff starts coming apart.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
