Aq1200d

2x polk audio MM1040 10"

so i got everything installed and the subs wired to the amp @ a 2ohm load. fire it up and the subs are not even visually moving and u have to put ur ear close to hear them playing.

what im confused about is the aq1200d is a mono amp, but it has 2 negative and 2 positive spots for speakers. so which do i use, or what do i do?

thanks

I said IT IS a mono amp. i didnt question if it was...

i just didnt know if i could use any, or if i had to use a jumper or what was up.

i know the subs are wired right, according to every diagram i could find on wiring.

the negative of one sub is joined to the other subs negative, then ran to the negative of the amp. same for the positives. i have (2) single voice coil 4 ohm subs.

i have not touched the gain because the subs are new, they are rated at 350watts (2 subs=700) and the amp is pushing 870watts X1 @ 2ohm. i was not sure if i was supposed to adjust it during break in, because i dont want to blow them.

so i need to adjust it just be smart about it? just adjust it till i hear them hitting a bit, then stop and break them in for a week or so, then play a little more with it till they sound great?

Good lord.

Dont get your panties up in a bunch there newbie. Chillout, it's not that difficult to comprehend.

Well gain is half way, and they actually moving now, but still weak. is half way maxed out gain and bass boost going to blow the subs when they are getting 170 or more amps than they need?
