Hey guys. This will prolly get a lot of peoples attention lol

Here is my idea. I would like to put 4 subs (2 bass and 2 midbass) in the same box.

My plan is to use a crossover with possibly two different amps, maybe one 2 channel amp...

Not sure if troll thread?

OP, if you're not trolling, hold off and save some money for about a month then start showing up at some New England SPL shows and get some better ideas and find guys that can help you do something nice.

People did boxes like that in the late 80's and there's a **** good reason why nobody does that anymore.

Not trolling.. just thought i would try to save some space. Please look at the picture again, as i uploaded the wrong one.

Each of the subs will be separated, and the two midbass drivers will be together.

Still no? Or would that work?

As long as each one is in their own enclosure and you're not running the subs at crazy heavy power, I see no problem.

Alot of high end speakers and studio monitors share mids, tweets and subs in the same "box" although they are not enclosed together.

they would be enclosed separately, with the exception of the two mids, which would share. The subs might range from 400 - 1000 rms each, and the mids would range from 100 - 300 rms each. They would be crossed over ie: at say 80hz, the signal would stop going to the subs and go to the mids instead.

my other option is to put some free-air mids in the rear deck next to my coaxial speakers, but i would have to fabricate a rear deck system, and would have to probably cut through the rear deck frame (changing rigidity / lowering safety during impact?).

your subs will turn the midbass speakers inside out.
How? If they are separated and well sealed between the three different enclosures?

no, bad idea like hispls said..... it will very complicated to build and i am going to asume that your box building skills are far below average....
I have built a couple simple boxes, but nothing like this. Plus i have size constraints, given the size of my trunk.. (2006 Nissan Sentra)
