subs and amp power?

i have one quantum 12 inch 250 rms 500 watt, and 1 american pro 12 inch sub 250 rms 500 watt dual voice coil. will a quantum 220x2, 440x1 amp power these and how to wire them sequence or parallel?

someone has to know. i guess what im saying is do you add the rms power togather 250+250 or do i just need 250 watts to power the both of them?

Wait, so you are going to try and run 2 totally different subs off the same amp at the same time? I would NOT do this at all...

they will be getting different amounts of power and if they are in a box with out a divider one will probably fight the other unevenly

It might work but not for very long. You have the option of wiring your subs in series for an 8 ohm load or in parallel for a 2 ohm load. I dont think your amp is 2 ohm stable in bridged mode so I think it will fry eventually or right off the bat. I guess you could run it as an 8 ohm load with the subs in series but they wont get as much power as they need. They will only get 100 each, if the amp can push even that much.

problem solved i got rid of the amp and got a jensen 650watt mono amp and another quantum sub.
