subs/amp take awhile to kick on....

Hey guys, Im new to the forum and need help with something. Ive had my subs and amp hookedup since i got my car, about 2-3 years and about 6 months ago i noticed that my amp/subs wouldnt kick on when i started my car, it would take them about 10-15 min before they started up. This was when my car was cold (just starting it after it had been off awhile). If they kicked on and then i shut off my car for a bit and turned it back on, the subs/amp would work fine. The next morning the same thing would happen, it would take 15 min for them to kick on, theyd probly start on by the time i get to work. REALLY ANNOYING! I called one car audio place and they said it was possible that i had a crack in the amp or something and that after it got warm and the plastic i guess expanded, it would kick on. What do you guys think could be the problem?

first thing i would do is install a new remote turn on wire, then double check my power cables(grond and hot) all the way to the battery.

second thing i would check is make sure there is nothing that might cause your amp go into protection mode. IE: loose wires, wires that may have came loose and may be touching a grond point

just do a detailed inspection on that
