Subs/Amp Buying Advice?

This will be the first system I am actually buying by doing research.

My last system I bought off a buddy just because I wanted bass and it ended up being crap.

Anyway, I have a 98 Dodge Ram club cab (ext cab) and i have installed an aftermarket stereo and have it all wired for subs.

I'm asking some advice for a sub/amp package that won't kill my wallet ($400 or less if possible), but pounds pretty hard.

I'm not worried about a custom box or anything as I can just flip my back seat up.

first u need to find out how much space u have or are willing to take up. we could suggest the best 12" subs and amp to support it, but would u be able to fit it?

What exactly do you mean by space? Are you asking how much room I have in my cab for a box?

yes he is. The sub box is very important in getting good sound, moreso than the sub in many cases. Figuring out space you have available will narrow down your sub choices.
