Sub with small space requirenments

My friend has a jeep wrangler and he needs a sub that can fit in the little back hatch of his jeep. Its a very small space. And the sub needs to be able to handle 1000w @ 1 ohm so it needs to be a dual 2. I was thinking an 8in sub but they cant handle 1000w and most of them are svc 4ohm. He would like to go ported but most likely will have to go sealed. What are my options for this?

You need to post your measurements. What is the mounting depth? What is the physical size of the location. Why do you "need" it handle 1000 watts? 1000W is not necessary to get bass....unless that's the amp you're stuck with. Remember, a doubling of power only yeilds a 3 db increase. So, with 500W, you can more realistically power your sub, and only be down 3db from what you are looking for now.

Sorry for not giving information. I couldn't get measurements at the moment because i was leavin for out of town and i'm in chicago now and i didn't have access to a computer, but now i do. I called my friend up and the space is 34"L x 10"&1/2 Depth x 12" Height. And i just thought people might know the general size of the small hatch or have dealt with them before. Before he had 2 10" kicker comps on a 600w kenwood amp. The box was too small for the kickers so he wants to try to do one 10" ported. And the amp he has now puts out 1000w.

my friend had a 97 wrangler that he put 2 sealed 10's in. If you dont mind the back seat being a little less comfortable this is what he did. He took out some of the foam in the back seat out and made a box that he mounted into the seats facing downward. The back seat is a little less comfy, but ive ridden in the back for >30 min intervals plenty of times and its by no means unbearable. I think the box was 1 ft^3

for the amp he made a fake floor in the back.

the setups nice because he can park with the top off and it doesn't look like he has a system in it (cept for the HU)

edit:

this is also for the 2dr wrangler, i dont know if anything diff in the 4dr if thats what your friend has

No my friend has a 2dr wrangler also. I'll talk to him and see if he would like to do that. But do you think i could fit one 10" ported. Maybe an fi q?
