Before anyone asks yes, I viewed the sub wiring diagrams at RF..

but.. what I wanted to know is that If I have two 4ohm speakers and a mono amp.. and I wire up the voicecoils to run a 1ohm load, when the wires are connected to the one input on the amp does that change the impendence. Stupid question I know, but I would rather ask now then be sorry later.

Thanks in advance.

Dual 4 ohm subs wired in parallel will get you to a one ohm load. When you connect them to the amp, it will see a 1 ohm load. The amp won't change the impedance.

I think the only time it changes it (but really doesnt) is if you have a 1 channel mono block amp with 2 pos and 2 neg speaker inputs.... i think its wired in parallel at the amp so it still sees a 1 ohm load....
