Id love to have your charging system.... over 140A stock?... big battery too ill bet... itll support 1500 watts easily most likely with the big 3

Look up the Alt size would you?.. im curious

My son's first setup had a pair of these... they were not very impressive and did not go low too well...

That said, in my experience the slightly more expensive Skar subs do just fine as long as they're enclosed correctly. The lowest line by skar I'd use with that amp is Vvx. My personal tastes like a sub to sub, so a 34-35hz tune is as high as I'd tune for a daily box.
Ya the ivx are pretty meh. Do SA Ev3 at least. If you insist on Skar, as mentioned, the VVXs are definately an upgrade
I've seen bigger motors on 200-250rms subs lol. Those low end Skars are designed to a specific price point rather than performance.
4cf with a 6 inch round port between 8.75-11 inches long would give a tune between 35-38hz
Im actually gonna model em tomorrow on that power... we'll see if it looks like the cones are gonna stay in the basket... his car... his $$$... I'll try my best
I guess the gain can be set lower after all
I don’t mean to beat the dead horse but.... fun fact!
The IVX is rated from the OEM factory @ only 150w RMS [emoji4][emoji106]

Everyone agrees... lol

So many options. You could get Soundstream or Pioneer 4 channel and a matching mono amp (70x4 and 1000x1) for $260. Use an XFL 15 or SA-15 ported.

You would still have money left. Really we could give suggestions all day.

In my Suburban I am doing those same amps and two efficient 15's (Probably the SA E-15s).

I wanted to go with skar cause I could get decent quality for a good price. And everything would be matched up properly. My budget is low I understand. I was just asking for a box design lol. I'll more than likely be asking you guys for advice later down the road, but for now I just want to get rid of the **** job the guy before tried to do. Lol

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too
