Sub up & Port back in a bmw e36

I want to try the above method with 1 15in subwoofer off 2k. I have always ran 2 x 12in in this type of car but due to the lack of space in the trunk, 2 12's in an ideal slot ported box has always been difficult to achieve although sub back port back has worked well for me.

Would this set up in this trunk sound better or worse. Ps Rear parcel shelf has been reoved an there are 6 holes underneath so the bass an travel. Any input
