I have a 03 avalanche with bose speaker system, im hopefully getting the avic-d3 head unit shortly. I want to put in some base before components. Im looking for something somewhat cheap, probably with amp and sub costing nowhere over 400 (although if there is a major quality jump within a reasonable price im willing to take it). I listen to a mixture of mostly rap and hip-hop, but I also listen to some rock, alternitive and techno. I dont need a HUGE thump, because I plan on getting components and dont need a massive rattle. Thats not to say im not object to being able to crank up a song and hear a thump before a big game. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. Thanks!

Look into the new SI mags they are gonna be $275 and come in D2.

You will only need like 500rms to get them soundign good. They go in small seald box so easy to build and it only need .5 cube after displacement.

If you want real, real easy the new Infinity Basslink is only $250 and its a 10" with passive radiator and 200rms amp all in one package all you do is hook up ower ground and inputs.

PG RSD 12" are the lower price point performers that still reatin good SQ.

1. Can you build your own enclosure?

2. Do you have stock electrical or slightly upgraded?

3. $200 on amp $125 on sub $50 for power wire $25-75 wood for enclosure, have one built for you.

Look at Cadence, MTX Audio TA7804 or other models, and check classifieds here like crazy, best deals for sure.
