I have only heard the IDmax, the lower end ID's probably sound good but they look cheap with those stamped metal baskets and those old school terminals the require Radio Shack connectors.

I'd look into the IDv3 along with (or rather than) the IDQv2.....IDv3 actually has more Xmax and supposedly better SQ than the IDQv2. And the IDv3 has the spring loaded terminals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The IDQ is supposed to be undergoing another redesign currently.

there isnt a real weak link in any of your choices but i would do a max in a heart beat if you had a lil bigger amp. still though nothing really bad there if you are thrifty the eds are a good choice and anywhere in between

Well I broke down and called Eric at ID and ask him his opinion. I think he was shootin' straight with me. Anyway... he tells me it's real close between the IDMAX 10v3 and the IDQ 12v2... but the IDMAX 10v3 would in fact play a little lower with a tad more output than the IDQ 12v2... considering the power I have.

It just seems like the 10's would be a little better controlled therefore maybe a little tighter than the 12's... yet I'd still have the at least the same output (maybe more) with at least the same low end extension (maybe lower).

I kinda got that feeling... he seemed to be on the up and up. We talked for quite a while and even got into some people we have known in the business for a long time. I felt pretty good after talking with him that I shouldn't be disappointed. Plus I'm in the process of getting set up with them as a dealer so he knows his honesty is important to me. Of all things... we have zero ID dealers in Alabama. I suppose that will be good that I'm the only one if someone from Bama calls in for a dealer around these parts.

Hey 80INCHES... can't help but to notice the EPICENTER plug... have you ever tried the PG BASSCUBE?

I mainly want to improve on this Kicker 12 L5... at first listen I was marveled at how hard it hit but after some more serious listening I was not impressed with the SQ. Even my last JL 12W6v2 was better than the Kicker. I don't play it that loud so SQ is more important.

a fluffier box would do it wonders with an alignment of .7 but it wont get open and airy like the id subs will.

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
