Sub recommendation needed for amp

I would go with one 12, like the Alpine type R slim 12. I keep reading great reviews on other forums about how the new Alpines have taken a step up SQ-wise. Design a nice ported box for it and you'll have SQ and loudness.

I'm in a similar amp situation now, don't have the brand limitations but I've been researching single 12s or 10s to run at 4 ohms as well and even with the vast amount of equipment available online....the type r slims have been recommended by more than one person....knowledgable ppl at that, not some best buy noob.

JL also has the svc 4 ohm w3 you could look into....

Thanks! You think my amp is powerful enough for the JL W3? I thought it may need a little more power than I have to offer it. That's why I was thinking of going with the W0. Today I was kicking around the idea of adding a mono amp... the Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1BDCP. BTW, I was surprised at how much louder my current sub is with the backseats down. A big increase.

Ding worry about giving a sub its rms power...u won't hurt it by underpowering as long as the gains are correct. Just get the better sounding sub....
