Didn’t the hot box come with an oz audio subwoofer loaded in it? If this is the same box I’m thinking of, it will likely be too small and won’t have a good port tuning for the JL or the Rockford. It will work, but you will be leaving a lot of good bass behind that your JL or your Rockford would be capable of producing in a better box. The enclosure makes the sub. A 500$ subwoofer in a 10$ box will sound like 10 bucks.

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
