sub problem...

my sub sometimes fluctuates how loud it is....like i can keep it at the same volume and it hits really hard...then all of the sudden it doesent hit half as hard...is it my rca cables or what???any help is greatly appreciated...

Without seeing what you're running or how it is set up my irst guess would be voltage drops in the power levels being fed to the amp(s) resulting in lower outputs than when there is more current for the amps to turn into output.

ummm im runnin a punch 2 bridged to a poweracoustik lt980 amp in a sealed q logic box...umm the speaker wire i think is small...maybe 16 guage...not sure but its not thick at all...

What freq. is it louder at? Any enclosure will have a small (or very large) peak at the resonant freq. of your vehicle.

Does this happen only with certain songs or all the time? What kind of box do you have? It may be your electrical (maybe).

Does that amp have a stereo/mono switch on it? If it does, switch it to mono. I have see amps that were ran mono bridged and on certain songs, if the bass was in stereo, It would fade due to the input.

I know what I'm trying to say..... but, did that ^ make any sense?

I know in my heep the bass fades when the amp gets warm.

On the other hand my friends alpine hu seems to cut down on sq and loudness when it goes over 22.
