Sub position in trunk

I have 2 sony xplod 1200 watt 12's in good sealed box and 2 sony 1200 watt amplifiers running to each of them and i need to know do subs sound better in your trunk when they are near the licence plate or on the back seat?

Generally they perform better near the back seat aimed toward the back of the trunk.

Edit: But try different things and see what you like better.

does your seats fold down?? in a sealed box i like to have the subs face forward all the way up to the folding backseats, if your seats dont fold than have the subs facing the rear and pushed up against the seat.
