sub makes wierd noise

hey guys I was wondering if you could tell me whats wrong with my sub... first off its a 15" adire audio brahmah mk II dual 2 ohm ran by a sundown audio saz 1500d. i finally got everything hooked up a few months ago and the other day while listening to it i started smelling something burning so i turned it off and checked everything out.. well i melted my terminal on the side of the speaker box and the dust cap on the speaker was hot.. so i kept everything off for a day and turned it back on and now when my sub hits it sounds like its rattling or something and its very annoying.. so im curious if i blew something and thats the noise im hearing or just something minor.... and if it is blown do you think that it would be a fair trade with 25+ feet of kicker hyperflex 1/0 and the sub for a sundown nightshade 15"

How the f uck do you melt the terminal cup on the box? Sounds like the sub is toast and ready for a recone.

i have no idea lol if the sub was toast would it still hit tho?

sounds like the coil is coming apart from distortion ,burnt coil recone time

Yea sometimes they will still hit, but its more of a rattle. Take the sub out of the box and test the voice coils with a dmm and you will know.

dang its so much work to take it out of the trunk lol how much does a recone usually run... or do you think some one would still want it i mean it is a brahmah with a chrome basket bad *** soundin sub if you dont push it to hard lol
