Sub isnt getting strong enough signal

like the title says i have my RCA's wired to the back of my deck and they are going into my amp my sub is hitting not not hard enough its barely hiting at all

any idea on what the problem could possibly be?

A different box maybe, set the gains with a DMM and the tutorial as well.

also maybe screw with your crossover setttings...

also have you tried turning the gains up until it sounds good? or are you maxing the gains?

Check to make sure your subs are wired correctly, check the power and ground with a dmm to make sure you're getting good voltage.

check and see the crossover settings first if not make sure subs are in phase

well i tried playing around with the amp today and at one point i had it hitting real accurate but wasnt loud at all i have my sub wired up a 1ohm and the amp does 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm so any other possible problems

buy a line driver if you aren't getting enough signal, but this shouldn't be an issue with RCAs to 1 amp. You DO have sub output turned on? If so, see if you can tun it up from the HU. i have my subwooofer output turned on

i dont know how to play around with the options on my head unit there are all these eq options and crossover point options i just dont know how to tune them.

do you think that that would make a difference if i figured out how to set them at the right spot?

yeah, read the manual, talk to others who have your same unit, etc. there's something that's not set right most likely.

i dunno if my head unit even has a loud mode

i know that it has MX or w/e and whenever i turn it on when my amp isnt on the bass kick in hardcore on my speakers
