Hi all need your wisdom on this one! I'm old but new to the powered sub set up! here's whats up! purchased an amp and 8" sub,car is a convertible, sub will be mounted in storage area behind drivers seat, not the perfect choice of location, but trying to make it work! not much room to work with and trying to keep a clean look, don't want a big box or speaker in trunk! this is what I've done so far.

have the sub mounted to storage compartment door and now I need help on porting the compartment, the speaker I got fits nicely and is from Sundown audio and its made for small spaces and needs porting to work right. amp should be here next week and will be located in truck where battery is,just need to know where to port and how to do it??? was thinking of using round tube and hole in front, the size of enclosure is 16 wide 14 deep and 8-9 high, approx 1.3 cubic feet. I have a donner storage compartment ,so its easy to work on it out of the car, will be keeping my original one in the attic, here's pictures!

here's spec's on speaker and amp, should be around 200watts rms.

I tried using WinISD. but kinda lost! the 96-02 SL'S have factory Bose system bass located at same place but have a weird looking box in there, here's a pic. not mine just example

Just remeasured enclosure area and came up with 16w x 14 D x 7.5H,so guess that's 0.9 cubic foot, my SA sub requires 0.5-0.6ft^3,I'm subtracting 18% for volume of speaker and port,so have net volume of 0.7 , so came up with 11.808sq of port area.

so If I have a 1.5 X 6.75long, round tube for port, should be at 11.928ci.this sound about right?
