Sub Help

Alright guys, I'm not too good with this stuff, so maybe you can help me out. A buddy of mine is gonna be selling me these subs this weekend and for the price, they seem pretty decent. Now, I already have an amp installed in my car, along with an alpine ida-x200, front 4x6 infinity's, and rear 6x9 sony xplods. With this set up alone, I get absolutely no Bass and when I do turn up the bass, I get some nasty distortion above volume 20.

So my question is, by getting these subs, will I be able to turn the bass up? because if I turn my bass up, the subs will sound fine, but won't the speakers sound like crap? I'm not sure if they run off two different outputs or not.

no, cause they are on different channels...as long as your hu is set up properly...

So are you running the speakers off the Alpine head unit and then the amp is for the subs?
