I'm thinking about buying one of these and powering it with this and was wondering if anyone knows how this sub and box sounds as well as if its a problem that the amp is 200 rms watts over the rating of the sub. Also is Dealer Cost Car Audio a safe place to buy things from because I have heard some bad things about them.

I checked on the AQ website and did not see a price for the sdc2.5 12" how much do those run?

EDIT: so I added one to my check out and after shipping looks like its $160 give or take

I don't have the knowledge or tools to build my own box so that's why I was looking at the Kicker sub. Would I be better off going with something like an Alpine Type R or a Cadence Wild Beast in a sealed box instead?

I'm looking for something with decent power but nothing too extreme. Also I'm looking to not spend too much on the sub and the box which is one of the main reasons why I was looking at the CVR in the Kicker box. I would like to not spend over $200 for a sub and box so any suggestions in that price range would be appreciated as well as info on how the CVR in the Kicker box will sound.

I've only ordered two type Rs from dealer cost. After 3 weeks of not being shipped, i e-mailed them and they gave me a respond that they were having some warehouse issues and will be shipped within 3 days. 2 weeks pass by and still nothing. I asked for a refund at that time and they gave me back my money.

NOTE: they charged me the very first day within the hour of making the purchase....

Yeah I'm just gonna get it off ebay if I do because I have heard too many things like that about dealer cost. So does anyone have any info on how the CVR will sound in that Kicker box?
