Sub for christmas, Now what amp?

I got a 12" Type R for christmas, Dual 2-Ohm. I plan on putting it in a around a 2'-2.5' ported enclosure. I need an amp for it. I was looking at the Hifonics BXi 1206D. How is this amp? Will this be reliable and the right amount of power for my setup, or is there a better option in the $200-$250 range. Thanks
