Sub firing up or to the rear? Which is best?

About to have a box designed and Its going to be for a 15" RE SX.. It will be 4 cubes at 34hz with the port firing towards the rear in my 99 Caravan but should I have the sub firing up or to the rear? Thanks..

I prefer facing to the rear, but subs up, port back is fine as well

not sure about minivans, but in suv's I find that sub up port back works best for higher numbers, and subs and port back sounds best for music.
