Ok Im looking to do a budget system in my truck. Its going in a 2000 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab.

I am doing 2 Lanzar MaxP 8s, on ab 400-600watts. Im not looking to blow windows or anything, but looking for something that knocks a bit and sounds good.

NEW LANZAR MAXP84 8" 800W CAR AUDIO SUBWOOFER SUB 800 WATT 68888891653 | eBay

I have always gone ported and wanted to see some recommendations for this setup? Should I go ported, if so where should subs face/port? Or sealed, and where to point subs?

Also I listen to both rap and country

Thanks for help

I havent seen a prefab box for 8's for a ext cab thats worth anything there are a few on ebay but there junk. Subthump makes a sealed box for 4-8's. Your probably gonna have to build your own in which case subs forward and ports to the side works well as does down firing and port to the back. On another side note you should deaden the entire back area of the truck before you put the subs and box in it makes a huge difference then if your on a budget you can deaden the rest of the truck later. I have a 09 crew cab and it took about 30 sq ft to do the back half of the truck.
