Sub enclosure for a pair of subs, shared or seperated chambers?

Pros and Cons of both. Which one is prefered? I've always made boxes with shared space for both subs but have seen some box makers make seperate chambers. Shared chambers will alow for one port instead of having to make 2 ports for 2 diffrent chambers.

I personally like building seperated chambers. The box is just so much sturdier that way.

with the shared chambers, I always put supports down the middle anyways, so the box wont flex. So how would you calculate the port dimension if you were using a shared chamber? And if the volume of seperated chambers was off, would that effect performance any?

You would calculate it the same way as a single chamber, but you would subtract add the mass of two subs to your airspace, I believe. And yes, if you dont get the desired airspace, you wont get the exact same tuning... but how much of an audible difference it would make is questionable.
