I have 2 flame Q 1200 rms subs and I like the chrome look so I put them in my seat delete in my mustang without a box so do you suggest I get a box? And if i do make a box can I box the front of the woofer and let the chrome flame q's stay out? What would sound better thanks!

Keep them without a box, the seat will reflect the waves toward the front increasing SPL. That should be one loud 'Stang...

Yes, you'll want to put them in a box. You can invert mount them, which will put the larger side (chrome) of the woofer outside of the box and just have the cone on the inside.

You put them "in" the seat delete? Sounds like he may have installed them in an infinite baffle setup.

Put 'em in a box mang.

thats what it looks like right now with no boxes im thinkin about puttin 2 more subs so i have 4 subs in my stang haha bangin and stangin so now that you have seen it feed back would be amazing. Thanks guys!

Whaddaya know they are IB!!!! lol

Probably would sound better in a good ported box though. Pretty sure that A-bahns aren't meant for an IB setup.

Im not brand new to audio I know how to do wiring and build boxes im just not as educated as you guys so if anyone would get at me so I can figure things out. How much are you into going fast? A large box will add a good deal of weight. Maybe if you switch to some subs that are more IB oriented you would get the output you want. You may have to give up the chrome though.

im not that into speed i'd rather king kong in my trunk and have that massive bass thats why I wanna have a box with 4 subs but dont know how to go about this. I have 2 1200 rms subs and I have 2 700 rms subs all audio bahns

alright so now that this is out of the way. How would you go about putting 4 subs in my stang? should I leave the first 2 subs like how they are in the picture with the chrome out of the box or should I box the foam part of the sub and leave the chrome out? And what should I do about the other 2 subs not in the car yet? which way should those 2 be faced the ones that im adding? And are we talkin 1 box or 2 boxes for these 4 subs, help would be amazing i know im askin for a lot but i wouldnt be askin if i knew what was best thanks!

Adding more subs is not always the best solution.

If those were mine I'd be putting them on ebay and looking for 2 different subs that would give me the output and sound quality I wanted.

If I saw the setup you have I would know right away that this is probably not a serious install or sound system. Chrome Bahns FTL....

There are alot of other cool looking drivers that would work better in an IB setup... Personaly I would put 2 subs in your trunk and get your back seats back. But I like function over bling ANYDAY. The only time something should bling is when it is actualy is as nice as it looks.

Finaly for a car theif this says steal me all over it, unless the theif was into car audio in which case he may not want those particular bahns...
