Are these SQL subs? What size box do they need I can't find it on diamonds website?

I would not be putting them in a ported enclosure...

Any other SQ/SQL woofers that might sound better and have decent output?

Requirement is that it can fit in .75 cuft and have equal to or less than 5.75 inches of mounting depth......

Search continues untill someone will sell me their Assassin or Arsenals or I can find something else that will work just as well or better.

I finally found it I don't know why they don't list everything under the subs I had to find a PDF under there tech support...

Looks like a perfect match //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I hope I'm not disappointed swapping to these from an Assassin.

They'll want lots of power, how many watts do you plan to send them?

I just purchased a Diamond D5 1200.1 Will it be enough? They are 500 watts RMS each right? Know where I can get a HUGE maxi fuse like 120 Amp or whatever is required?

Will this be a good Upgrade from Assassins or Arsenals (which I don't have but I'm thinking to give up the hunt for them (only found one 10") I have a feeling the new Arsenals won't fit either since they are switching ot tripple stack. I just don't want to give up alot of SQ but I do want more output the Assassin is not all that loud in a sealed downfire in my truck. Although it was keeping up with my friend 2 JL W6's when it was put in a ported box (I have 2 under the seat boxes for a Nissan Titan KC from probox, single 10" ported and a dual sealed downfire prototype)

there is only a little over an inch of clearance in the prototype downfire between the sub and floor, maybe 1.5 inches due to carpet sag and limited space between seat and floor. I may build a box this summer with a fiberglass top so I can raise the sub a another 5/8 to 3/4th an inch off of the floor.

D6's look like they will fit in small spaces well and don't require alot of airspace.

Another sub with similar specs which is a bit more expensive is the CDT's but I'm not sure if their SQ sereis subs are as good as the D6. Their top of the line is too expensive I would just switch to ALL DLS at that price point.

I would usually say 600w sealed per D6 is as low as you'd want to go, my M6 loved the 800w I had going to it sealed.
Ported, you need a bit less power say 500-700 range per sub would be fine.
Thanks, well I think most D5's are rated for 1200 @ 12v so it can likely produce a bit more power but I'll try it with 600 each if I go for them. not looking to compete or anything but do want them to thump.

Do you think these subs are better than AA Assassins? I just found out that I can possibly pickup a second one...A second Assassin would cost me like $70 instead of $340. SO I want to be sure these subs are an upgrade from AA Assassins.

diamond d6 is a great SQL sub .i had an older model m6mk2 12" ,put it in a 1.25cuft sealed enclosure.this thing get loud and VERY good SQ .700 - 800w for a single sub will be good .you also can look at the SOUNDSPLINTER sub rlp 12 .good SQL sub too.

I wanted an RLP when they first came out, however they are not anywhere near close to being able to fit in my application //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I guess I will give the D6's a go if they will be much better than the assassin in terms of output and still have excelent SQ liek a W6, and on par with the current version of arsenals.

Before I buy I'm going to give my ported box one more chance wonce I get teh 600 watt RMS sub from probox. Should be there when I get home tonight or maybe tomarrow. I'm just 90% sure I'll go back to sealed.

I only have about 600 watts for each sub, but diamond lists them at 500 watts RMS...

600w for a single d6 is enough ,off cos more power will be better.and you will be puting it ,in the ported that will get loud .i did also tested the m6 in the slot port enclosure 1.6cuft tune to 36hz ,sound good to me also.i

Well I only have the pre-fab ported probox, making a box for my truckis a bit to difficult fo rme since I have no table saw or anyplace to put one (I RENT).

Here is the Ported box I have from them. http://www.proboxloaded.com/products/enclosures/loaded/nissan/NKC110L/index.shtml

Every cut would have to be at a percise angle. Back of the box angled, top of the box angled, maybe fiberglass to go over the hump in the middle of the seat etc.

So these would be going in a sealed box.

I have a Prototype sealed, downfire box from them. I modified it to lift it higher off the gound about 1.5 inches clearance and fit a bit better. I basicaly just added some feet to the box to lift it up and cut the back to slide back farther.

..I could try them in the pre-fab ported (it actualy fits well in my truck but It was tuned for 40 htz with the sub it came with) No idea what it would be tuned for with the diamond in there. If I wanted loud the $70 Assassin works well enough in this enclosure. I'm hoping to get the same level of output as the Assassin, from 2 D6's sealed and have superior SQ. I'll be more than happy with that. I'm not building an SPL system, but the single assassin in a sealed box is not loud enough.

so in this application will D6's have better SQ and get louder than Assassins? Will they be as loud as arsenals?

Alright, thanks for everyones help. Ordered 2 D6 10's. I hope I these will be my final subwoofers.

Also have a 600 watt RMS Probox sub on the way to drop in the ported enclosure.

Assassin may go up for sale...

I have a pair of D610D4's in my midsize truck under the seat. They're in a sealed box, .8cu. ft. per side powered by a D61000.1. They could use more power but I don't have the space for the D61500.1 behind the seat. They will bump but they're no Fi's. They are great for SQ, though, great for rock. Very smooth response.
