Sub box suggestions

Hi guys,

I am getting pretty vague answer from Polk Audio concerning a box for a pair of DXi 104s.

Here is my situation:

I just ordered 2 of the DXi104"s mentioned above.

Id prefer a small sealed box. NOT for maximum bass output, but a nuce thump to match the internal Morels and not overpower them.

It will be going in the back of a 2010 Honda civic and Id like the box as small as possible (to take up as little of the truck as necessary along front of truck up against rear seats)

I will be powering with a Diamond Audio D3 600.1.

Here is the response from Polk, which I appreciate, but huge difference in size options:

If you were to build an enclosure for two of the DXi104’s in a sealed box, I would suggest building the box with .66 – 1.75 cubic foot per driver of airspace. This is going to be a 1.32 – 3.5 shared chamber for these two to operate together.

Hope this helps,

Any suggestions from you guys?

Thanks a lot.....

Thank you for the suggestion. I too think the .66 they recommend is a little small. Ive started playing with the .75 per sub (1.6 total with driver displacement) idea. Just a big sealed rectangular coffin really. Simple, efficient, easy to make, lol.

If anyone else has these subs or any other suggestions, keep um' coming.

Thanks again.
