Sub box question

The recommended air space for the sub I have is .35. Do you think I can get by with a .30 or .38? Which one would be better?

Either will be fine. You will not be able to tell a difference with that small a variation.

generally, going to the larger sealed cabinet will obtain a slightly lower resonance frequency, but as said above, with that small of a cabinet and that small of a variance you practically may not be able to measure a difference between the difference sizes.
