sub blown

"edit::: i just reread your post, you said he connected the ground of the amp to the positive on the amp, and connected the positive to the negative??? i dont understand at all"

alright you know how you have a positive wire and a negative wire going from the amp to the sub. i guessed that the wires had gotten crossed when we hooked up the sub b/c the guy i bought it from said the sub worked fine with him and that the wires probably got crossed and i just assumed thats what happened b/c i didnt watch my friend install it. but you guys are saying that would not have caused the sub any damage. btw the sub is a infinity kappa perfect 10.1

"so u bought it used??? maybe he sold u a blown sub if u did buy used!!!"

yes i did buy it used actually i bought two of them used and one worked and the other did not. i bought them from a guy in my car club so i figured he wouldnt rip me off considering i met and talked to him and bought the subs. i drove home and found out one of them doesnt work. is there anything you can do to blow a sub just by wiring it up?
