Yes, you'll need to disconnect the jumper.

im confused but yea take all the wires out of your sub then try the 9V battery test on both coils

I think he meant jumper as in the the wires between the VC's to connect them in series. Similar to the TypeArrghs.

If the coils still show their proper impedance, I really dont know why people want you to take the sub out and check tinsel leads... they are obviously still in tact. Aparently your sub's coils are reading fine (unless I missed something) which leads me to believe the problem is elsewhere.

yes i checked both voice coils with the 9v battery and both popped....so i guess like audioholic said the problem is elsewhere.....but i still dont under stand why the one that didnt work doesnt play on the channel with the working sub.....

it is a 2 channel amp....and no the RCA's are connected TIGHT....soo i dont know whats wrong

wait its a 2 channel amp and is one channel going to one sub and another going to the "not working" one???? if so try switching up the channels to see if the other one doesnt work then...might have a bad channel in your amp
