Sub and Amp with factory radio

Hey guys, just joined here, site looks great. I have installed subs and amps on a few occasions before but they all had aftermarket stereo's in them. The other night a friend of mine asked me if I could hook up a amp in her '03 Monte Carlo SS. She still has the subs from her previous car but doesn't have the amp any more. The subs are 12" kickers, had a 1000W amp hooked to them before. Thats the background, now for the questions. I did some searching around on here on doing this with the factory radio, but want to fully understand it before starting it.

From what I could tell I need a PAC to hook into the speakers then to the RCA's on the amp. What wires to I hook into? Next question is where do I hook the remote wire from the amp to? On the aftermarket stereo's they have a wire, do the factory radio's have something like this. I'm not sure if it came with the factory amp or not, but being a SS I would imagine it did. Thanks guys.

Sounds like you know what to do, but I've never done an install on a MC. So I really wouldn't know what wires to tap into. Do a little searching on this site.

I think you might find your answer there. Good luck with the install. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
