Sub and Amp help.

I'm looking at the Rockford Fosgate 12" P3SD412 Shallow Mount 800 watts and 400 RMS.

It comes in either 2 ohms or 4 ohms, and to be completely honest i have no clue what the **** that means.

Which one do i want?

What should i be looking for in a amp with this type of sub?

Does it have dual voice coils? What amp do you have? How much power does it put out and at what impedance?
