Sub / Amp Help!

Hi guys, New to the forum.

My apologies in advance for some of what may seem 'stupid questions'.

I have recently bought a 04 Avalanche with the Bose speaker package.

I would like to keep those for the time being and try and get an amp and sub package first. I have done limited research but this is what i have come up with so far. I am hoping to buy 2 12' subs, looking around and trying to find what best suits my needs I have come to the conclusion that the Image Dynamics ID12 12" Sub. For these subs I am hoping to get one of these two sub enclosures. I dont really understand what I am getting extra with the second and more expencive one. Here are the two links to the products:

Do those fill the required space that my subs need?

Now moving onto my next predicament, I have little knowledge of amps. For those speakers i could use a 500w amp? or should i get a larger one for better sound. I will try and become more informed in this area and post more specific information about what I am looking for then.

The first sub enclosure will be just fine . As for the second box you have listed, its more expensive due to the fact of it being ported in which it takes more time/materials to build . Also, Its a bit below the subs recommended ported cu/ft volume so personally I would go with the sealed box which will yield better sound quality. The subs seem they will fit just fine in the box as well . As for what amp to run ... It depends on what voicecoil config. you go with but I would recommend the IDd4 v3 12. This will make it possible to wire the subs down to 1 ohm or 4 ohms if needed . You want to find a amp that will put out around 800 rms .. Maybe something like the Kicker 750.1 .
