sub amp? haven't bought an amp in 15 years

its been a VERY long time since i have shopped for a sub amp and am lost. ultimately i would like to be able to push 2 15's. not looking to spend a lot at all but don't want total crap either. i like my bass loud and clear but don't really see myself spending more than $500 on subs either, but who knows.

help an old guy out!

That leaves a pretty wide range of possibilities.

You could be talking about 500-800w or you could be talking about 1500-2000w.

You could be in the $150-200 range or the 300-600 range.

Hifonics is always a good option if affordability is important to you. The brx line is decent. MB Quart is in a comparable class.

The PPI P1000.1 has been a popular amp lately. Does what it's rated to do plus a little. Not expensive.

The Crescendo s1500d seems to be a very good amp. A little more expensive, but small, powerful and efficient.

Soundqubed has a 1200 and 2200w amp that have a lot of positive feedback.

Sundown is highly regarded.

There are many other options to say the least.

Never forget that you get what you pay for. Unless you are paying for a name.

Example Rockford Fosgate power series.

$800 for a 1500 watt amp with a horrible 60% efficiency and made in China. No adjustable subsonic filter, go gain remote(only boost), can't strap. Tends to run a bit hot since the heat sink *****.

Vs

$500 Ampere 2000. Typical Korean build quality which is typically very good. 75% efficiency, strappable, adjustable SS filter, gain remote.

Soundqubed 2200 is a nice amp also for the price. Does rated power and can be had used for 300-325
