Guys, here is my setup
nine.4
nine.2
4 gauge power to distro to a fused distro 8 gauge to each amp
trunk of a 2007 Fusion
I just got 2 powerbase xtreme subs. They are d4 so I series 1 coil on each woofer and paral. the rest to amp to give it 4 ohm bridged. I am breaking the subs in a ported box volume about 13-15 playing different tracks. I have about a 30 min drive home. I stop about 20-25 mins after I started and I checked on the nine.2x. It was freaking HOT My nine.4 has got pretty warm before just powering the factory 6x8's but never like this. I just checked the seting on the amp and the guy that installed it at the time had the bass boost on and the gain probably a little more then half. It never clipped or cut out. Am I over reacting or do they normally run hot? I just dont want to mess up any thing.
